National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, introduced in 1969 during Mahatma Gandhi’s birth centenary. It aims to develop the personality of youth through community service, encouraging “Education through Service.”
